Travelstar Z5K500 is HGSTs second-generation 7mm 5400 to 2.5-inch hard drive with capacity ranging from 250GB to 500GB, the second generation of advanced formatted hard drive. Advanced Formatting increases the size of the hard disk physical volume from 512 bytes to 4,096 (4K), significantly improving hard disk capacity and error correction. The 500GB single disc design is a direct replacement for 9.5mm standard hard drives for notebooks, external storage and game consoles, as well as more innovative, lightweight and rugged designs. The Z5K500s low-power and halogen-free artwork also exemplifies HGSTs environmental leadership. Travelstar Z5K500 achieves the ideal balance of capacity space, power management and design flexibility to meet the needs of mobile applications.
